Freshwater Flyfishing

- Rainbow and Brown Trout are available under a wide range of conditions. The famous stillwaters of the Eastern Cape Highlands in the Stormberg district are high altitude dams and support good populations of trophy Brown and Rainbow Trout in the 2,5 to 5 kg range. So too does the East Griqualand district of Southern Kwazulu/ Natal but here the specialty is the wonderfull fishing to be had for wild trout in the rivers that flow down out of the Drakensberg Mountains.

- Yellowfish are indigenous to South Africa. Hence they have been responsible for the development of a truly unique South African flyfishing experience. They are powerful fighters and the average size fish one could expect to catch are in the 1lb to 5lb range with the chance of hooking into a really large specimen of 10lb or more. This fishing is found all over the country; predominantly in our river systems and venues are selected according to the time of year and local conditions. Small nymphs and dry fly’s are effective. The best time for Yellowfish is September / October and are a must for any serious flyfisherman visiting South Africa.

- Tigerfish are a uniquely African predatory fish and offer fantastic sport with powerful fights and arial displays. We can arrange trips to the only venue in South Africa, Josini Dam and on the upper stretches of the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers in Zambia. The fishing is primarily done from a boat and remember this is wild country and game is often seen from your boat while fishing, including members of
the "Big 5".

Deepsea (ski-boat) Fishing

The warm Benguela current that flows down the eastern seaboard of Southern Africa provides this region with some awesome saltwater gamefishing. Species available include Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, King and Queen Mackerel, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, Kingfish, Garrick, Wahoo and Sailfish.
Fishing is done from 16 to 21ft boats launched off the beach through the surf at various suitable launch sites along the coast. By the same token, boats are beached at speed. This is an experience in itself not to be missed! These boats along with their experienced skippers are chartered by us and come kitted out with a full compliment of tackle including lures and bait.
